Connect Your TV to Your Computer

Most TVs nowadays can connect to Computers/Laptops out of the box using a range of connections like VGA/RGB,DVI,HDMI,S-video or RCA. The VGA connection is probably going to be the easiest to connect because it is the same as your Computer monitor. If you only have a laptop it is the lead you use to connect an external monitor. Any of the connections mentioned can be used to connect your PC and TV. If you cannot find the correct lead, you may have to buy one from any Computer or Electrical store.

If your TV does not have either VGA or DVI then it maybe a little more difficult. If your Computer has TV out then it should have S-video or RCA so you are back in business. If the Computer does not have these connections then you will need to purchase a VGA to TV converter which will give you either S-video or RCA to connect. HDMI is another way to connect, but your TV must be HDMI compatible.

You will need to set the TV input to receive your PC output signal. It should be easy to find within the menu, if in doubt check the TV’s manual.

That should be it when you have the connections in place switch on your computer to see it on your TV.

So that you can switch between you computer monitor and TV without disconnecting anything you will need to buy a switch, available at most computer stores, but you can do without it.

You can go a step further and connect the audio from your Computer to you TV as well. To do this you will need a mini stereo plug/Jack to Phono lead (RCA composite audio). The mini stereo plug goes into the back of your PC and the Phono leads into the input of your TV. That is it you now have video and audio from your PC to your TV. If you would like the audio from your computer to go to both your TV and PC speakers then you will need a mini plug splitter.

There are many more products you can buy to enhance your home entertainment system but if you have followed the instruction above you will have a good start. For further information use the link below.

Guess what arrived at my doorstep this Xmas Eve, MY PARTS! I’ve had this Raiden 2 board for a few months now, but had nothing to test and play with it. Works and Sounds great. This is just a temporary rig, something for me to learn and test to see if I had gotten everything down as far as wiring. I plan to build a cabinet for it at a later date, but I will not be using the CRT monitor in this video. I plan on purchasing a 25″ LCD to mount in the cabinet, using the same RGB to VGA converter here in this video. Ya, i wasn’t trying to play the game while shooting this video, kinda hard with a camcorder in your hand. The background noise happens to be a noisy clock and me relatives over for Xmas. Parts I Ordered: -150 Watt AC to DC switching power supply -10x Buttons w/ tact switches -2x Competition 8-way joysticks -2x 8ohm Speakers (come in pairs, but JAMMAs are typically mono) -RGB/CGA/YUV to VGA converter -Full JAMMA harness loom
